 Here is how we do it:

SERVICES 

• Complete assistance: Our team guides your company and staff throughout the entire recruitment and application process. This includes regular calls throughout the process.  

• Process preparation: Our team can assess all requirements to hire temporary foreign workers, such as selecting the National Occupation Classification (NOC), wage rates, air transport, accommodation responsibilities, etc. 

• LMIA assistance and representation: We help prepare a solid Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) application. Canadian employers need LMIA approval to hire foreign workers. Nextra ensures all requirements within the LMIA application process are met (salaries, labour conditions, employment contract, job advertising, etc.) in accordance with the Canadian government’s guidelines. 

• Recruitment efforts: We advertise on our clients’ behalf through the Government Job Bank and additional recruitment methods targeting underrepresented groups to comply with the federal and provincial requirements and the LMIA application requirements. We will manage and record all recruitment and advertising methods for each candidate. We will develop job ads as per LMIA requirements and ensure legislative compliance.

• Pre-screening foreign workers: Once the LMIA application is approved, Nextra will pre-screen foreign workers on your behalf and provide a shortlist of suitable candidates for you to interview virtually. 

• Transition plan: In some cases, a transition plan is required with LMIA applications. Nextra will provide support for preparing the plan and work with the company to develop this plan. 

• Foreign workers guidance: Once Service Canada issues a positive LMIA, Nextra will work with the Barbados consulate to welcome the foreign workers to Canada, assist with private insurance coverage and general navigation in their new area, etc.
