A peer group is a powerful force for improvement, change and success. Peer groups provide a forum for feedback, help with decision-making and handling challenges, tactical support and accountability. We have seen the value and power of peer groups over and over again.

HR PROFESSIONALS
For: HR managers/directors, or whoever handles hiring and HR related tasks.
Format: Monthly virtual meetings, 90-120 minutes each
Focus: Leadership development, increasing knowledge and networking with others. Topics covered will include talent acquisition and recruiting, onboarding, leveraging government programs, managing employee issues, complaints and investigations, employee compensation and benefit programs, Foreign Workers Program, etc.

OPERATIONS
For: Operations/General Managers
Format: Monthly virtual meetings, 90-120 minutes each
Focus: Topics of discussion will include staff training, operations process improvements, implementing change, wages/managing career progression, disciplinary process, methods and best practices, employee appreciation and company culture, towing the line & working with the owner/management team, and leveraging technology.

LANDSCAPE LIGHTING
When: 2024
For: Designers, supervisors or managers directly dealing with landscape lighting related tasks.
Format: Monthly virtual meetings, 90-120 minutes each
Focus:We'll discuss new ideas and solve common challenges while increasing knowledge and networking with others. Topics of discussion will include leveraging technology, install techniques, holiday lighting, marketing & photography, off-season practices, working as a subcontractor, and design tips and tricks, among others.

This is the essence of peer groups. Every person has something to offer and something to learn. Peer groups are a great tool for both.
Being part of a peer group provides the opportunity to learn from others within the same industry. There’s a pretty good chance that whatever challenge you’re facing has been faced by someone else in the group. Wouldn’t it be great to learn from them? Avoid the mistakes they made? Hear their insights about the issue?
And how great would it be to do the same for someone else. Perhaps you’ll be the voice of wisdom and experience to someone who’s a few years behind you. It’s all about sharing, collaborating and learning together.
