Change is inevitable. Growth is optional.

As you may have already known, I took some time off last year in order to avoid some significant burnout. Our team was gracious in their approach to me and Marla and took over some of my responsibilities during that time so that I could get the rest I needed. Marla and I will forever be grateful to them for that.

Since that time, I’ve been more intentional about evaluating our business, my role, my strengths, and weaknesses, and how to best provide for the needs of our team moving forward.

We feel that it’s time for us to simplify what we’re doing and focus on what we do best – business coaching.

With that in mind, we have sold our HR and Finance divisions to PowerGroup, a company that shares our core values and desires to see its staff and clients succeed. They are committed to providing excellent HR and Finance services, while we will focus exclusively on coaching.

Our HR and Finance staff (Charolette, Rachel and Annette) are exceptional – absolutely exceptional – at what they do. We love these women and highly respect the work they do and the way they do it. They are not only knowledgeable professionals, but they are also great people with a sincere desire to help clients grow their business. But we are not able to support them the way they deserve and do not have the knowledge or energy to grow these divisions. PowerGroup is able to do everything we are not when it comes to HR and Finance.

As for coaching, we will be increasing our focus in this area and are looking forward to being single-minded in our business. Martin and Scott will remain with Nextra and will continue providing business coaching. For HR and Finance services, we recommend PowerGroup.

This has been a hard decision as it involves a change, not only for us, but for people that we care deeply about. The work that Annette, Charolette and Rachel have done at Nextra has made us a better company and, frankly, better people. Saying goodbye to them as employees has been very difficult and the worst part of this decision. But we refuse to say goodbye to them as friends.

We are often required to ask business owners to make hard decisions. This time, it’s our turn. But we do it with peace and confidence that it’s the best thing for us and for our team. We thank you for your support, your friendship and your business.
