Human Resources Assistant

At Nextra Consulting, we realize most landscape contractors are great technicians but not great in business management, especially when it comes to the accounting part of their business. Reporting to HR Director of Nextra Consulting, the HR Assistant will primarily be responsible for providing generalist and recruitment support to the HR Director.  If you are looking for an entry level remote opportunity with fluctuating hours (5-20 hours/week) with competitive compensation – we have the position for you!

Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative support to the HR Director
  • Conducting recruiting assignments, including booking interviews, pre-screening, and follow up for various positions. 
  • Support HR Director in researching HR policy and best practices, Employee Handbooks, Benefit Plans etc.
  • Entering data into HR database where needed
  • Administrative support such as drafting letters, Employment Agreements, Offer letters etc.
  • Support and administration of company benefit plans

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of direct work experience in Human Resources and Recruiting capacity.
  • Previous experience in BambooHR a plus
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of Google Suite, MS Word, Excel, and e-mail required.
  • Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude is essential.
  • Meticulous records maintenance skills with the ability to maintain filing systems in Google Drive
  • Excellent writing skills, including proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures.
  • Previous experience in handling confidential or sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational, time management and multitasking skills.
  • High level of sound and independent judgment, reasoning, and discretion.
  • Comfortable working in a remote/online setting
